Chocolate Covered Valentines Day Marshmallows!

Cake pops and Chocolate Covered Marshmallows.
Not just any cake pops though...these..
I can't remember where I got the original from..
but this is similar, if not the same.

Cake pops:
Above link will give you the recipe..
But it pretty much says:
You need:
1 box cake mix (devils is good)
1 container frosting (vanilla is yummy)
Recipe calls for candy melts I like almond bark.
Sprinkles (optional)

1.Bake cake and allow completely to cool.
2. Crumble cake and mix with about 3/4 of the frosting container.
3. roll mixture into balls (or desires shape as small or big as you want)
about 2in is good.
4. Add lollipop sticks/straws
5. Put cake balls on wax/aluminum sheet to harden in freezer.
6. Melt Almond bark (start with 1/2 package then melt more if needed)
7. Drizzle the chocolate with a spoon to cover cake pop. (dipping makes the
chocolate a mess)
8. Sprinkle immediately.
9. Lay on sheet to dry in freezer.

Marshmallows:
  You will need:
Marshmallows (i got hearts for Valentine's) Campfire size is good
8 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Sprinkles
Paper straws or lollipop sticks

1. Cut straws in half (if you use straws, that's what I had at home)
2. Put the straw/ lollipop stick through the marshmallow, almost all the way so
it doesnt fall over.
3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler (i just do it in the pot), but if you don't use a
double boiler make sure to keep stirring.
4. Put the flame on very low while you dip the marshmallows in the chocolate
to partially coat. Get creative with this. Make it how you want it to look.
5. Sprinkle the marshmallows right away so the sprinkles stick to wet chocolate.
6. Let harden. About 4 hours, or speed it up in the fridge.
7. Store in fridge in a plastic bag for freshness.

Package how you like.
I put them in plastic goodie bags with baker's twine and a handmade tag.
Have fun and be creative.

xoxo.

DIY Barbie Puzzle frame!!

You can do this with any frame, any puzzle, any words.
                                                                         You need:
a frame
letter stickers
a puzzle
a piece of paper for the puzzle to go on. (make it reasonably bigger than your puzzle)
a frame that your paper fits in.
tape
scissors
ribbon
a hot glue gun and glue sticks

tape the puzzle to the paper.
add the letter stickers to create any word, phrase, quote, etc.

Place the paper in the frame and Cut 4 ribbons
2 for the sides, 2 for the top and bottom
Cut them so they are longer and extend about an inch to the back of the frame.
Heat seal the edges if needed.
Hot glue the ribbon to the frame: first the sides, then the top and bottom.
Tape the ribbon to the back to secure it.

Hang it up and enjoy!

DIY BRUSH TREE/ BOX. duct tape and shoe box.

I wanted a brush tree, but $35 was a little expensive and I love to make things myself....So I thought of this! Duct tape and a shoe box!

The best part is you can make it look however you want with different colors and patterns!
It worked well, it's inexpensive and only took about 10 minutes.
If you are drying brushes, put a towel underneath!

What you need:
Duct tape
A shoe box
Scissors
An Xacto knife/ kitchen knife with a pointed end

Have a sunny day.

Clean Your Brushes! DIY

This brush is my favorite brush..I've had this brush for 7 years and after this clean.. it looks new again. I saw a post about baking soda to clean brushes, but I cant remember where...so. I'll tell you what I did. I will tell you that the water smells rancid after cleaning...but my brush smells clean and looks brand new.I should have taken the picture before I brushed my hair..but you can tell it still looks new.

What you need:
*A 28 oz Cup ( I used a tall cup because its most effective, uses less ingredients than if you
                                        use a bowl, I think.)
* 24 oz Water
*A few Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
*A few Tablespoons baking soda
*A little dishsoap
*An old toothbrush

If you have multiple brushes...Use more. If you have small brushes..Use less.

What to do:
1. Fill the Cup with water
2. Add 2-3 Tbs each of baking soda and apple cider vinegar..
3. Also add about a Tbs dishsoap.
4. Soak your brushes for an hour.
5. Scrub with a toothbrush nice and clean.
6. Rinse and let it dry.

DIY candy bowl

This is also on my etsy. girliedoll co...but you can make it yourself also. They are nice because they don't take much time..the acrylic paint dries fast..and they make cute gifts. I made a ferrero rocher and one for christmas, but you can decorate any way you like. All the supplies are available at Michaels.

What you need.

*1 4 inch clay pot.
*2 Plates for the 4 inch pot.
*Acrylic paint
* A wooden knob for the top.
* Glue. E6000 works great..I have also used contact cement.
*A glass bowl that fits the plates (can be found at the dollar store.)
* candy...you can also fill with office supplies..beads...decorate like a gumball machine. So many things you can to.
*Letter Stickers. (optional.)
*Newspaper

What to do.

1. Lay the Newspaper on a flat surface.
2. Paint the pot, plates, and wooden knob and color/s and designs you want.
***To make a ferrerro topper, use a ferrero rocher wrapper and glue it onto the wooden knob.
3. Glue one plate upside down on the bottom of the pot.
4. Glue the glass bowl into the plate.
5. Glue the knob to the bottom of the other plate.
6. Decorate how you like by adding glitter stickers, ribbon, or any other thing you'd like to add.

7. Let the bowl dry for one day..to make sure the glue adheres well.

Have fun!
